journal-invitation.doc I got my muse to write my journal invitatioin from a serman my Pastor was preaching. Yes, I was sitting in church on the third row. I realized that my students stories mattered as well. After using an acrostic to hopefully get the students excitited about journaling, I originally used a poem as a model. Then Dr. Frye asked/reminded me that unless I wanted my students to journal or try to journal in poetry….I should change it. So I did. I found one of my favorite pieces in Amelia’s 5th grade Notebook, and used it. Let me know what you all think!
